Our Yumi Japanese Longbow is 76 inches long and made from Red Oak backed with linen. It pulls between 30 and 35 pounds
and has a draw length of up to 32 inches. As with all Yumi bows this is an
asymmetrical design, and the handle is well below center. This allows the
wrist and bow hand to be in perfect alignment at full draw and makes for a
more accurate sweet shooting longbow. THIS BOW IS DESIGNED TO BE SHOT
THE TRADITIONAL JAPANESE
METHOD OF SHOOTING OFF THE THUMB.
Three Yumi Arrows included! The arrows are 44 inches long (will cut to desired length) and are designed to be shot from Yumi bows Japanese style--that is, drawing with the thumb and shooting off the thumb on the right side of the bow. They are made from white birch shafts and are fletched by hand with two turkey feathers. They feature a self nock with a heat tempered wood tip. Due to the long length, the arrows may require hand straightening from time to time.
The bow is permanently finished and comes with a bowstring, bow-stringer, and
basic instructions.
This bow has a 1-year warranty. If it breaks or does not function properly as a result of manufacturing defects we will replace it free of charge.
