All blades and other metal parts are made from a modified 1060 carbon steel, and joined with extremely tight tolerances (as shown in pics below). Parts such as pommels and guards are made of solid forged steel billets (not hollow cast). All blades pass through a patent pending channel design that prevents guard or pommel spin if stuck by a power blow. All tangs are a continuation of the blade that runs completely through the handle and connects to the pommel (not the thin rod used in most all swords). Although they are historically correct in appearance, specifications were set to produce a sword that could withstand the riggers of steel to steel and not produce a failure. Failure is not an option with Last Legend Competition Blades, their customers depend on it. All blades are shipped edge sharp for level four competition.
