Early Claymore (aka Wallace Sword) New and Improved Version!

(History Lives)
IP-068 "Early Claymore"- "The Wallace Sword"  William Wallace and his band of lowland scots routed an English force of 50,000 at Stirling Castle in 1297.  This impressive sword with it's straight steel cross guard is a predecessor to the later Claymore that had the down-sloping guard that developed in the late 15th century.  The legend of William Wallace will continue to live on with this sword.
-Why you ask is this sword more than some Wallace Claymores?  It comes with a full length top grain leather scabbard and the cross guard and pommel are solid steel, not nickel plated brass as on some. -
Improvement: It is more historically accurate in look and weight and also the way it is put together.  As you can see from the above right picture the tang runs all the way through the pommel and then it is peened (mushroomed) to hold it in place.  Historically this is the way most swords were assembled.

These instruments are NOT toys, their use requires the training and supervision of a qualified Teacher or Trainer in
sword use or fencing. Their use in ANY other form (i.e. chopping trees down in the backyard, etc. ;-) can result
in severe injury to the user and to the instrument, and is not warranted by Imperial Weapons. If you are not
qualified, DO NOT attempt to use these instruments before securing qualified instruction. Owning an instrument
such as this carries with it a responsibility to gain the instruction needed to become proficient and qualified in its
use. Users should contact a qualified Trainer or Teacher or join a fencing club to receive proper training. The
necessary training is NOT available via books or videos; and no, it is definitely not as easy as it looks. Imperial
