Del Tin Schiavonesca Sword- Venice, end of 15th Century. These swords are largely shown in the rooms of the Council of the X in the Palazzo Ducale in Venice. They have grips that were used both with one and two hands. Long bladeof hexagonal section slightly flattened at the point, with three fullers from the forte up to the middle of the blade. Squared pommel with a relief in the center. Hilt with curved arms bent in horizontally opposite directions. Grip of wood wrapped in leather. Overall length 48 1/2" Weight 1800 gm 5161
